START A BOOK CLUB

If the book is really resonating with you, I am going to encourage you to be brave and do something a little crazy: Call or email your closest friends and ask them to join you in a Target 100 book club. (You can cycle through all six targets more than once, so you can absolutely do this even if you’ve been through all six already.) Target 100 meets you where you are, so no matter how diverse your group’s challenges, there is no reason you can’t work together, cheering one another on in building healthier lives and even losing some weight.

Over the next month, I'll be stocking this site all kinds of extras, just for book clubs: materials to guide your discussion, videos from me, helpful tools and worksheets, and more ways for you to connect your community online.

For now, if you’ve got a scale, some friends, and a place to meet, you’ve got everything you need. Like everything else about your Target 100 program, your book club should fit you. You can use the ten-week outline, reading a chapter before each meeting, and supplement the book with the videos for each of the six targets and the one for habit and environment. Create a Facebook group for your club, or get involved with the Target 100 Facebook community that's just getting started.
